How We Calculate Your Shower Glass Estimate

Custom shower glass pricing depends on more than just the type of door. Our calculator uses the main factors that typically have the greatest impact on the installed price.

01

A single frameless door, fixed panel, sliding system, bathtub screen, and corner enclosure require different amounts of glass, hardware, and installation work.

02

Panel width, height, glass thickness, and overall enclosure size can significantly affect material, handling, and installation costs.

03

Hardware finish, Low-Iron glass, protective coating, and other upgrades can change the final project price.

04

Wall conditions, oversized panels, corners, half-walls, benches, notches, existing glass removal, and other custom details may require additional work.

Shower Door Calculator FAQ

Important details about preliminary pricing, project conditions, and submitting your shower information.

Is the calculator price a final quote?

No. The calculator provides a preliminary installed price based on the configuration and options you select. Your final quote is confirmed after we review the project details, photos, measurements, materials, hardware, and installation conditions.

Why does the Fixed Shower Panel estimate show a wider price range?

Fixed shower panels can vary significantly in width, height, glass thickness, mounting method, and hardware requirements. A small standard panel may be relatively simple, while an oversized or custom-height panel may require substantially more glass, additional support, and more complex installation.

For this reason, Fixed Shower Panel prices shown in the calculator are intentionally presented as a wider preliminary range.

Why do corner shower enclosures cost more?

Corner shower enclosures usually require multiple glass panels, additional hardware, more precise measurements, and more installation work than a single door or fixed panel.

The final price can also depend on the enclosure dimensions, number of panels, glass thickness, wall conditions, and whether the shower includes features such as a half-wall, bench, or custom angles.

What factors affect the final shower door price?

The main pricing factors include:

  • shower configuration;
  • glass dimensions;
  • glass thickness;
  • glass type;
  • hardware and finish;
  • number of panels;
  • installation complexity;
  • removal of an existing enclosure;
  • custom cuts, notches, angles, or other special conditions.
Does Low-Iron glass cost more?

Yes. Low-Iron glass contains less iron than standard clear glass, which reduces the green tint commonly visible around the edges of thicker glass.

Because Low-Iron glass is a premium material, selecting it will increase the preliminary price shown in the calculator.

Does the displayed range include installation?

Yes. The displayed range is intended to represent a preliminary installed price, not just the cost of the glass.

The final quote will confirm the exact project scope and what is included for your specific installation.

Can I upload photos with my estimate request?

Yes. You can upload multiple photos when submitting your configuration.

For the most useful review, include:

  • a wide photo of the full shower opening;
  • photos of both walls;
  • the shower curb or base;
  • existing glass or hardware, if applicable;
  • any half-wall, bench, angle, or unusual condition.

Photos help us better understand the project before confirming the next step.
