Low-Iron Glass
Extra-clear glass keeps light tile and stone closer to their intended color.
Summit, New Jersey
Custom frameless shower doors for Summit homes, designed around the room’s architecture, finished tile, glass clarity, and selected hardware.
Minimal hardware, deliberate visual choices
Summit developed among the hills near the Watchung Reservation and includes historic homes, former estate properties, and a broad range of later housing. A shower enclosure should respect the bathroom rather than introduce a bulky standard frame that competes with stone, tile, or carefully selected fixtures.
Ihor establishes the structure first—panel size, hinge support, entry width, wall geometry, and curb pitch—then helps coordinate glass and hardware. Standard clear glass is the most economical; low-iron glass reduces the green cast, while colored glass and newer decorative finishes can increase cost.
Extra-clear glass keeps light tile and stone closer to their intended color.
Chrome, brushed nickel, brass, and newer finishes are reviewed before quoting.
Corner, return, transom, and walk-in arrangements are measured as one system.

A complete quote for the approved design
A premium appearance begins with correct support, movement, and water control—not with finish selection alone.
Standard clear glass has a natural green tint that becomes more visible at exposed edges. Low-iron glass is substantially clearer and priced higher. Colored glass and specialized hardware finishes are quoted separately from standard chrome or brushed nickel.
The approved specification is documented before the contract and 40–50% deposit so the fabricated glass and ordered hardware correspond.
A practical four-step process
Ihor handles the project from the first review through final installation and operating checks.
Photos establish the room, tile, fixtures, opening, and preferred glass for a free first estimate.
Ihor measures support points and clearances, then confirms glass and finish before the 40–50% deposit.
Production usually takes 10–12 business days; 5–6 days is sometimes possible but not guaranteed.
Installation takes 1–1.5 hours for simple work or 2–3 hours for complex glass. Wait 24 hours before use.
Custom glass can follow uneven walls and non-standard surface geometry.
A correctly pitched curb should direct water back into the shower.
U-channel is the standard recommendation; clips remain available by request when appropriate.
Low-iron, colored glass, and decorative hardware finishes can increase the final price.
Clear support after installation
Coverage includes approved hardware, seals and plastic components, silicone, and door adjustments.
If a specific panel is broken during the first year, Go Glass covers 50% of the cost of that replacement glass panel.
Go Glass prioritizes prompt service requests. Use a squeegee and mild cleaner such as Windex; avoid Clorox and chlorine-based cleaners.
Frequently asked questions
Standard clear glass has a green cast, especially at the edges. Low-iron glass reduces that tint and provides a clearer view of light tile and stone, but costs more.
Chrome and brushed nickel are generally standard-priced finishes. Satin brass, brushed bronze, and newer colors can cost more depending on the selected system.
Yes. Multi-panel configurations can include returns and transoms when the opening and support plan allow them. Every panel is measured as part of one enclosure.
Go Glass normally recommends a bottom U-channel for support and water control. Clips can be installed when the client requests them and the layout is appropriate.
The service warranty is one year and covers approved hardware, seals and plastic components, silicone, and door adjustments.
