Framed-to-Frameless Update
Old glass can be removed before a new custom opening is measured and fitted.
Clark, New Jersey
Custom shower doors for Clark bathroom updates, including bathtub replacements, frameless hinged doors, sliders, and fixed glass measured by Ihor Boyar.
Modern glass for an established suburban opening
Clark grew rapidly during the 1940s and 1950s, when suburban housing expanded across the township. A present-day bathroom update may retain a bathtub alcove, replace a framed enclosure, or create a larger tiled shower inside an existing footprint. Each route changes the entrance width and the way a door can move.
Ihor evaluates what remains and what has been rebuilt. He measures finished walls, checks where plumbing fixtures sit, and compares a hinged door with a sliding or fixed-panel configuration before the tempered glass is ordered.
Old glass can be removed before a new custom opening is measured and fitted.
Sliding, hinged, or fixed glass is evaluated around the tub edge and controls.
Doors and panels are cut for the completed curb, walls, and selected hardware.

Decide what stays before choosing new glass
The correct scope depends on whether the existing glass is being cleaned and reinstalled or replaced with newly measured panels.
When an old enclosure is replaced, new hardware is normally used so the finish and operating parts match the new glass. The exception is a true reinstallation service in which existing panels are removed, cleaned, and set back in place; that scope generally retains its hardware.
If disposal is required, removal and hauling are included in the agreed quote. Payment can be made by check or card.
A practical four-step process
Ihor identifies the existing conditions first, then confirms which glass and hardware should be replaced.
Photos show whether the request is removal, replacement, reinstallation, or a completely new tiled opening.
Ihor measures, identifies reusable items if any, and confirms the contract before the 40–50% deposit.
New custom glass typically takes 10–12 business days; occasional 5–6 days production is possible but not guaranteed.
Simple installation takes 1–1.5 hours and complex work 2–3 hours. Wait 24 hours before shower use.
New glass is normally paired with new hardware.
True remove-clean-reinstall work may retain existing parts.
U-channel remains the preferred fixed-panel support.
Tempered glass is selected for strength and safe breakage behavior.
Clear support after installation
Approved hardware, seals, plastic components, silicone, and door adjustment are covered.
Go Glass covers 50% of the replacement cost of a specific glass panel broken in the first year.
Squeegee water and use mild cleaner. Avoid chlorine products that can affect hardware and seals.
