Framed-Door Replacement
Old tracks and panels can be removed before a new made-to-measure system is fitted.
Hillside, New Jersey
Made-to-measure shower doors for Hillside home renovations, hallway bathrooms, bathtub conversions, and non-standard tiled openings.

Update the bathroom without assuming square walls
Hillside is a compact Union County township between Newark and Elizabeth with a substantial stock of established residential properties. Many projects begin with an older framed enclosure, bathtub curtain, or remodeled alcove where the finished walls no longer match nominal dimensions.
Ihor checks what can be removed, what surfaces will remain, and how a new door will move around the vanity, toilet, and bathroom entrance. Custom fabrication allows the replacement glass to follow the actual tile and wall geometry.

Sliding doors preserve movement where an outward swing would crowd the room.
Custom glass replaces curtains while retaining practical tub access.

Document the existing enclosure first
Old hardware condition, finished geometry, panel count, and the new door system determine the complete scope.
Show the entire existing door, the bottom track or curb, wall connections, handles, seals, and fixtures outside the shower. Video helps when the door is loose, dragging, or leaking.
When approved, removal and disposal join new glass, hardware, fabrication, delivery, and installation in one total rather than appearing as an unexpected add-on.
Measure only after the renovation is ready
The new enclosure is drawn from the surfaces that will remain after renovation and removal.
Photos begin the free estimate and clarify what must be removed.
Ihor confirms new hardware and geometry before the agreement and 40–50% deposit.
Fabrication normally takes 10–12 business days; occasional 5–6 days turnaround is not guaranteed.
Work takes 1–1.5 hours or 2–3 hours for complexity. Protect the seal for 24 hours.
A new replacement enclosure normally receives new hardware rather than reusing worn parts.
Existing hardware remains only for a clean-and-reinstall service using the original system.
Measured edges accommodate finished walls that are not perfectly vertical.
An inward curb pitch supports water control; an unsuitable slope may require a threshold.
Help after the replacement is complete
Approved hardware, silicone, plastic seals and components, and door adjustments receive one year of coverage.
If a panel breaks in the first year, Go Glass pays 50% of the glass cost for that individual replacement panel.
Squeegee after showering and use mild Windex-type cleaner. Avoid chlorine and Clorox formulas.
