Custom-cut glass can follow settled walls and tile that is not perfectly square.
Cranford, New Jersey
Custom shower glass for Cranford renovations—from hinged doors and fixed panels to sliding and multi-panel enclosures measured by Ihor Boyar.
Different housing eras require different measurements
Cranford’s municipal planning documents describe an older north side with Victorian homes and a south side developed later with Cape Cod and split-level housing. That variety matters in bathroom renovation: wall alignment, ceiling height, alcove width, and space outside the shower can differ substantially from one project to another.
Ihor waits for finished tile and curb surfaces, then records the actual geometry. Panels can be shaped for walls that are not plumb, while the layout is selected around safe door movement, usable entry width, and the direction water should travel across the curb.
Custom-cut glass can follow settled walls and tile that is not perfectly square.
Hinged or sliding doors are matched to the new curb, fixtures, and entry width.
Multiple panels are aligned to the approved footprint and support points.

Comments from completed Go Glass projects
“The quality of the glass door is outstanding and it has completely elevated the look of our bathroom.”
“Igor did an amazing job with our shower doors. He was very professional and very precise with his work.”
Cranford sits beside Garwood, Westfield, and Clark, while Scotch Plains and Fanwood remain part of the same working area. Those planned location pages receive direct links; Kenilworth and Roselle Park continue to the estimate form.
Measure after the surfaces stop changing
Even a small change in wall angle or curb width affects the final glass shape, hinge position, and panel gaps.
Ihor checks both sides of the entrance, the curb level and pitch, ceiling conditions where relevant, and the relationship between the door and fixtures. Custom glass can accommodate an irregular wall, but the deviation must be captured before tempering because tempered panels cannot be cut later.
Fixed panels are normally supported by U-channel. Clip-only mounting can be provided when requested and appropriate, although it is not the standard recommendation.
A sequence built around finished dimensions
Each decision is confirmed before the glass reaches the stage where its shape can no longer be changed.
Photos and video establish the opening type, project stage, and likely enclosure for a free initial estimate.
With tile complete, Ihor measures each glass edge and confirms hardware before the contract and 40–50% deposit.
Production typically requires 10–12 business days. Completion in 5–6 days sometimes occurs but is not guaranteed.
Installation is about 1–1.5 hours for simple work or 2–3 hours for complex layouts. Avoid shower use for 24 hours.
Tempered glass is shaped before the tempering stage.
Out-of-plumb walls require individual edge measurements.
Curb slope should send water into the shower.
Hardware positions must avoid weak or unsuitable mounting points.
Support for moving parts and sealed edges
The one-year warranty includes approved hardware, plastic and sealing parts, silicone, and adjustments.
If one panel breaks during the first year, Go Glass pays 50% of that panel’s replacement glass cost.
Squeegee after use and clean with mild Windex-type products. Do not use Clorox or chlorine-based cleaners.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The enclosure is measured after renovation surfaces are complete, and custom panel edges can follow walls that are not perfectly straight or square.
All cuts, holes, and shaped edges are completed before tempering. Once tempered, a panel cannot be trimmed, which is why accurate final measurement is essential.
The preferred solution is correcting the curb. If that is declined or impractical, Ihor discusses threshold and water-control options before approving the enclosure.
Yes, when removal is included in the project. Dismantling and disposal are then included in the complete quoted scope rather than added after installation.
Use a squeegee after each shower and a mild cleaner such as Windex. Avoid chlorine-based products, including Clorox, around glass, hardware, and seals.
Tell Ihor about the bathroom, preferred enclosure, and Cranford project address. Photos and videos can help with the initial review before final measurement.
